1. Eligibility & your account
Pulse NP is a dating and friendship service for fitness lovers and active people aged 18 or over within 30km of New Plymouth CBD. Provide accurate profile information, complete location verification and keep your account secure. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your age or location.
2. Memberships & billing
Free accounts can create a profile and browse. Bronze is NZ$10 per month and includes up to 10 likes a day and chat with matches. Silver is NZ$15 per month and adds unlimited likes, joining meetups and seeing who liked you. Gold is NZ$20 per month and adds hosting meetups and a profile boost. Chat requires a match; membership does not guarantee matches or attendance at a meetup. Review the total and any applicable tax shown by Stripe before paying.
3. Renewals & cancellation
Memberships renew monthly until cancelled. Use Manage or cancel membership on the Membership page to manage billing through Stripe. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Any refund policy must respect your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
4. Community conduct & content
Treat others with respect. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, scam, share illegal content or publish another person's private information without permission. Only upload photos and content you have permission to use. You remain responsible for your profile, messages and conduct.
5. Location & personal information
Location is requested to check eligibility within the New Plymouth area. Stored coordinates are rounded, and profile photos are held in private storage and displayed through temporary links. Do not share sensitive personal information in your public profile. These terms do not replace a privacy notice.
6. AI recommendations
AI picks use activities, energy level and dating or friendship goals to suggest compatible people from eligible local profiles. Suggestions can be imperfect and are not a guarantee of compatibility, identity or safety.
7. Meeting safely
Use your own judgment when chatting or meeting. Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust about your plans and choose activities suited to your fitness level. Pulse NP does not verify every claim made by a member or guarantee the safety of a person or meetup. In an emergency in New Zealand, call 111.
8. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where applicable.
